New Challenger’s Committee Co-Chair announced
Nursing Now Challenge is thrilled to announce the appointment of Amy Staley as the new Co-Chair of the Challenger’s Committee. Amy brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion to this role. She takes over from Charlotte Jakab-Hall as her tenure came to an end.
Amy is the Clinical Nurse Manager of an Orthopedic/Vascular Medical-Surgical unit at NYP/Weill Cornell. She was also the recipient of the 2021 Nursing Clinical Excellence Award: Rising Star at NYP/Weill Cornell. In 2023, Amy will graduate with her master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Management and Leadership from Columbia University.
Outside of the workplace, Amy leads others through influencing both vaccine and health equity throughout the United States and beyond. Some of her notable work has taken place in collaboration with the World Health Organization, Johnson & Johnson, and at the 77th United Nations General Assembly. She is an advocate for nurses around the globe and pregnant teens in foster care.
Amy has a proven track record of driving success and fostering collaboration. Her visionary thinking and strategic mindset will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of our committee’s goals. With her extensive background, Amy is well-equipped to steer our committee towards new horizons.
