Calling all student and early-career nurses and midwives!
The RCN Birmingham West and Sandwell branch is bringing you an exciting opportunity to learn more about the Nursing Now Challenge. The Nursing Now Challenge works with health employers, universities and colleges around the world to create leadership development opportunities for early-career nurses and midwives, as well as nursing and midwifery students.
On 31 July at 2pm, we will host an information session during which you will hear from Nursing Now Challenge Programme Director Professor Aisha Holloway. Professor Holloway was recently made a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing in recognition of her leadership to influence the global nursing agenda as well as her commitment to drive early-career leadership development in nursing.
During this session, Professor Holloway will outline the benefits of becoming a member of the Nursing Now Challenge, offering an insight into how it can support your personal and professional development and discussing the importance of having strong nursing leaders in the workplace.
While the event is primarily aimed at early-career nurses and midwives, we would encourage senior nurse and midwife leaders to join us to learn more about this growing global network and find out how you can support the students and early-career nurses/midwives in your organisation.
You can book your place now. Once you have booked your place, you will receive the Microsoft Teams link one working day before the event.
You do not need to have the Microsoft Teams app to join the session – you will be able to join using the web browser of any internet-enabled device.
If you have any queries about this event, or want more information, please call the RCN West Midlands Regional Office on 0121 450 4300.
