Nursing Times and Journal of Nursing Leaders Launch Nursing Leaders 2026
Nursing Times and the Journal of Nursing Leaders have announced their new, Nursing Leaders 2026 event. This is the UK’s only event dedicated to senior and aspiring nurse leaders. Developed in collaboration with influential nurses and forward-thinking industry partners, this one-day strategic forum will take place on 24th November 2026 at the Hilton London Metropole.
The event facilitates transformative discussions aligned to the national 10-Year Plan, focusing on the three system-wide shifts: from hospital to community, from analogue to digital, and from sickness to prevention. Centred on action, alignment and influence, Nursing Leaders 2026 provides a powerful platform for leadership, innovation and cross-sector collaboration at a critical moment in health and care reform.
The programme features high-impact keynotes, cross-system debates, and practical leadership sessions exploring digital nursing leadership, data-driven improvement, business case development, procurement challenges, and the governance of emerging technologies such as AI and robotics.
“This event brings together the most forward-thinking leaders across nursing, and I’m excited to be part of a forum that challenges us, inspires us, and helps shape the future of our profession,” said Colin Quick, Chief Quality Officer and Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of Greater Manchester.
“This event enables us to get incredibly close to our frontline users so we can see their issues and their struggles. It actually gives us the strategic view of where they’re trying to go, so they can give us insights on how we can better our product and our offerings,” said Justine Abson, Director of Marketing, Radar Healthcare.
Steve Ford editor of Nursing Times adds:
“As editor of Nursing Times, I know the UK’s nurse leaders are central to delivering care, managing risk, leading teams, and driving innovation under pressure. That’s why we’re launching Nursing Leaders 2026, a new event for those in these vital roles. Focused entirely on nursing leadership and influence, it will support those shaping services and leading change across health and social care. I look forward to seeing you and other nurse leaders at this event next year, so together we can help you lead with impact.”
