Programme Director, Nightingale Challenge
Lisa has worked in healthcare in both the private and public spheres and in higher education for over 20 years. She has been a national director at Health Education England since 2012, leading a transformation in nurse education across the country and introducing the first new nurse role for a generation.
Lisa is currently an Advisor at a WHO Collaborating Centre. Her international experience includes work in West Bengal developing a global learner programme and a strategic leadership programme at Yale.
Global Administrator, Nightingale Challenge
Over the course of his career, Anthony has worked in various roles within the academic and not-profit sectors, both in the UK and USA.
Anthony has a keen interest in issues relating to global health and hopes to train to become a nurse in 2021.
Anthony‘s role will be to coordinate The Nightingale Challenge and is excited to be part of the campaign to raise the profile of nursing globally.
Nightingale Challenge Fellow
Matt is currently the Practice Development Nurse for Career Progression at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, before recently joining the Nursing Now team as a John Burdett Fellow. After 23 years serving with the Royal Navy in various roles, his career as a Registered Nurse has led him into the NHS from the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Naval Nursing Service through ward and intensive care nursing, innovative programs and then into educational roles.
His passion of motivating, developing leadership ability and guiding career progression in new and experienced nurses is met through teaching, coaching, developmental mentoring and inspiring nurses to meet the challenges and demands of leadership in the modern nursing environment.
